Engage with First Responders
A Turner representative must meet with the emergency responders.Stop Work and/or Evacuate the Site if Necessary
The senior Turner person or designee on site should determine if partial or full evacuation or if any work-stoppage is required.- If a site is evacuated, account for all personnel
Priorities in Responding to Threats
The safety of all personnel takes precedence in the decision-making process in responding to a threat. Our priorities are:- Safety of people
- Protection of property
- Maintenance of business operations
Secure the Site
- Know which subcontractors are on site each day
- Maintain site security; conduct a daily perimeter fence inspection
- Manage visitor access by maintaining a visitor sign-in log and implementing a visitor badge program
- Review the Mail Handling Guidelines
Threats may be received in many ways including by phone, verbally in person, in a note or letter, written on a wall, or sent via email. In all cases, these are criminal acts and the police should be notified immediately and evidence preserved.
